NT Scan & Bloodwork

I am 29 and 12 weeks pregnant.

My blood work came back showing extremely high probability for trisomy. The numbers are below:

Free Beta hcg - .16 MoM (.1 percentile)

PAPP-A - .37 MoM (5 percentile)

These numbers are putting me at a 1 in 23 risk for downs and a 1 in <5 risk for trisomy 13/18.

Then my NT scan showed equally alarming results with nuchal translucency of 5.8.

Our CVS is scheduled for tomorow. We are preparing ourselves for the worst and that it is likely not looking good considering blood and scan show similar results. Can anyone shed light if they had abnormal numbers and what their amnio/cvs came back with and how did you proceed?

I just delt with a CVS on my twins as well, and I just wanted to say "hang in there" and I know this time is really tough.  The procedure itself is over pretty quick, and hopefully you'll get your "FISH" results soon, and the grown out culture in 7-10 days.  We ended up having some more physical things to deal with than chromosomal, but it's scary, none the less.
