Hi was just wondering if a change in discharge means anything. Not to give TMI but it is more mucus-y clear than the milky white? Does that mean labor is near??!!
I had always thought so... until I started getting this in the last few weeks. According to my doctor, it's totally normal throughout certain pregnancies.
I was always told to call my ob if I had a change in my discharge. I'd call and let them know, but I think that normal discharge ranges from clear to a milky color and can be a variety of consitencies based on things that your cervix has come in contact with, i.e. semen, lubricant, obs prodding... etc
I do remember thinking my water broke once because a few hours after an ob appt, I had clear, runny discharge... turned out to be the lubricant they used for the speculum that had sort of "melted"...
and we're all big girls, don't apologize for "tmi". If we're old enough to make babies and deliver them, then we are old enough to discuss our body questions! It's scary and confusing to be pregnant! Good luck!
Nope. The only discharge I had that signaled labor was incredibly thick and bloody. It was pretty unmistakable...seriously. Think silly putty. Nasty. Labor came 3 days after the discharge started.
