Monday, she spent a couple of hours at the babysitter. When we got home, DD told me that the babysitter showed her how to tie her shoes. I more or less patted her on the head and said, "That's nice, Dear." She kept practicing and I could tell that she had a decent grasp on the concept, but did not expect much. By bedtime, she was tying her own shoes! She is so proud of herself and is showing anyone who will watch. I'm pretty darn proud, too. It's a bonus that I don't have to wrestle her to get her shoes tied in the mornings now. She loves doing it herself.
