So, for whatever reason I thought my follie check was today...turns out it was tomorrow. OOPS! They took me anyway (mainly because they didn't catch the mistake until I was done). I'm glad I went since my follie was measrung 23mm!!!!! I trigger tonight and call the day after Thanksgiving unless I need to call before. Fingers crossed!!
I also asked about IUI pricing since MH and I agreed to do that next cycle if needed. We're OOP, so I was expecting a big numer. $300!! I. was. beyond. shocked! She said they typically do B2B (so $600), but we can opt to do just 1! So $300 plus meds for an IUI cycle...WE CAN DO THAT!!!
Re: Follie Check and IUI pricing
DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!
Ours is around $1500 too, when you include bloodwork and ultrasounds. I think the actual IUI procedure is $500, so kdg, that's a great price!
And glad you caught that 23mm follie!

Due 8/26/19!
IVF #1 with ICSI - ER 1/20 (16R, 12M, 10F), ET 1/23 (1-10 cell and 1-8cell transferred), BFP on 1/31 Beta #1 on 2/3 = 68, Beta #2 on 2/6 = 261 EDD 10/12/12
THANK GOD my insurance covers all b/w and u/s, so I'm literally only OOP for meds and the IUI itself. While I'm sad that IUI/IVF isn't covered, I am so very thankful for the coverage I DO have.
Wow! That is a great price! Does it include all the monitoring and beta? If so, your clinic is AWESOME!
Good luck!
ETA: nevermind - I see your response above
Well, good thing you went in today! GL!!!
That is a great price btw!
I pay 20% of everything, and have a lifetime limit of $10,000. IVF is not covered, so we will do IUI's until they will not let us any longer!
I'm with you. I am eternally grateful that I live in a mandated coverage state. I am so keeping my fingers crossed for you this cycle.

Our IUI was around $300 as well, but I just want to forewarn you that depending on what all meds you have to take, it can get very pricey, very quick. I just did femara, menopur, trigger, and 3 HCG boosters and am paying around $1500 for this cycle.
I'm very happy that they took you today with that great follie! I hope you have a great IUI and get your BFP!

I can't believe that is all you are paying with injectibles. I'm spending about $1K per cycle in the injectible meds alone plus over $1K on u/s and b/w. Then you add in the Endometrin and Ovidrel and you looking at around $2500 for my cycles.
After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
IVF March 2012 - BFP! - Severe OHSS = 8 days in the hospital in kidney failure
No heartbeat at 10w6d
FET August 27,2012 = BFP!
It's a boy!
My Blog - 3 Dogs, No Baby
Oh I know meds can throw a lot more money at the total. Next cycle would be Clomid + 2 days of Follistim
Ovidrel and Endometrin add that much to your bill? My Ovidrel shot is $100 through Walgreens
That is the same cost as my RE! I too was expecting much more, but glad to hear 300!
GL this cycle!

IUI#2 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 5-9) = BFN
IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!

beta #2 11/28 = 2055
Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
Wow, that's a ton! Maybe it's because we did different medications? My RE does an OOP discount for b/w, u/s etc when paid up front at each appt.

Weird, my insurance pays for Endometrin and Promethium and I have no IF coverage and an HMO. However it doesn't cover PIO or Crinone unless I'm pregnant and I'd need prior authorization for it. I was under the assumption that most had that one covered, otherwise I think it can run up to an extra $300 per cycle.
As far as the price goes-- that's awesome. With two days of Follistim I can't imagine you'll pay more than 300 at worst for the FSH. In cases of really small doses of Follistim I know a lot of REs just give samples, otherwise getting a 300IU pen to use 100IU would be a huge waste since its only good for 30 days open.
Good luck!
That is great news for the IUI! GL and I hope you don't need to go that route. My follie check is tomorrow for my first IUI medicated cycle...I am very anxious!
