anyone have a noise machine that would cover garbage truck sound

I need a loud white noise machine.  Every friday they wake up early from the garbage trucks.  tia!

I haven't ever used a noise machine, I just use the same thing DH and I use in our bedroom to sleep, an air purifier. When turned up high they can block out quite a few loud noises! Plus I think it's soothing, and purifies the air at the same time! lol Two birds with one stone.

We have the Homedics Sound Spa and on Halloween, I couldn't even hear the doorbell and kids running around right below their room.

We had that problem with DD too, and I couldn't find anything! We finally settled on having an iPod in her room hooked up to speakers. 

There are a ton of white noise type tracks on iTunes, we just downloaded on of those an loop it all night.

I have no answer for you, but wanted to say I hate the F#*&ing garbage truck. Garbage is early in the am and recycling right during naps. :::shakes fist in air:::

I highly recommend the homedics sound spa lullaby, you can turn that thing up really loud!!

We do floor fans pointed away from the babies.  It's on top of the dresser in the baby's room and on top of the armoire in Emerson's room.  Can't hear a thing when they are on.
