They started doing them at my appts around 27-28 weeks. They'd do the main measurements in 2D and then flick the switch over to 3D to try to get some face shots. We never paid for any 3D sessions.

They flipped it over to 3D during two u/s I had while on hospital bedrest. I think they were just trying to do something to make me less depressed, so they let us see the babies in 3D. We never paid for the 3D u/s. IMHO, all babies look a little creepy/the same in 3D.
They have printed off at least 2-3 3D ones (they say 4d on them though) for me at every ultrasound with the MFM since 13 weeks... that's 4 ultrasounds so far with him. I go every other week now, and I'm sure he'll keep printing them off. I can't even always tell what I'm looking at but he just thinks they're great. Usually he does their faces and once he did a crotch shot of the boy "for my husband to put on his desk." I have no idea what I'll do with them all.

W never got one. I figured I could better use that money to get things we really needed for the babies. Also, we would meet them not too long after that anyway....

They just started doing them at our appointment on Friday (27 weeks). It was amazing, but we couldn't get a good picture of Baby A because of the position.
