Speaking of FF...

Abby has reached a point where she's so exhausted/frustrated/fussy just before bed that either she doesn't have the patience to nurse, or my supply isn't enough.  I'd love to feed her a formula bottle just before bed, but she makes the GROSSEST faces and gags and refuses.  I was once able to get her to take nearly an ounce before stopping, but it hasn't happened again.  Any suggestions?  Would a different brand of formula make any difference?

  • Try mixing it with breastmilk. Then if you want, you can gradually reduce the amount of breastmilk over time. I had to do this with H and will probably do the same thing when the time comes with A if needed. I should add that I used the ready made formula so I was combining liquid with liquid if that makes sense.

  • I swore by Good Start.  Their powdered formula smells better than the others.  It also mixed the best for us.  Our kids couldn't take any of the other formulas.
  • Try a different brand. Bailey would only take similac advanced but when I gave that Bryce he refused it and spit out at me. He took target brand sensitive.

  • I second Gerber Good Start and mixing it with BM. We went through many different brands and this was the only one he'd drink.
