I prefer Marian for a girl and Marion for a boy spelling.

Out of the two, Marian, but it's my grandmother's name so that could be why.  I know a little girl named Miriam, it's really cute on her.

I really like Miriam.  Marion sounds somewhat masculine to me too, although if I just saw it I'd probably assume it was the name of an older woman.  Not a horrible name, but not nearly as appealing to me as Miriam.

DD has a Miriam in her preschool and she is nicknamed Mimi - she is adoreable and I love her nn

I think Miriam is absolutely sweet and adorable.

Marion spelled that way just seems like a last name. I think I like Marian better and it reminds me of Robin Hood! Actually both are good names, but I like Miriam better (nn Miri)

I like them both actually...  Grandmother was Marion and was the most beautiful person so I am a bit partial..   I was obsessed with it a bit when SJP named her twins Marion and Tabitha!  I thought that was a great twin set
