Oh this is asking too much!

I came down with a cold sore.  While at the pedi today, I confirmed that I cannot kiss DS while I have it, and nope, I cannot.  I'm having a really hard time!

AARGH!

    I know the feeling. I have one right now, and it's pure torture!!

    My Dad has had him all of his life...my sister and I both get them but my other sister does not.  

    Unfortunately, because they are so contagious, it's likely my Dad infected me and my sister.  This is common with parents/kids. My DS had his first outbreak about 6 months ago (it was AWFUL, horrible sores in his mouth/tongue. They say the 1st outbreak in a young child is the worst.)

    So, don't kiss her. I don't know how my DS got it, but it's from me and I feel pretty awful about it :( Maybe it's just inevitable in some sense?
