Best Daddy Moments

We had an exceptionally good weekend with friends and sleep! H has been so wonderful and really connecting with DS lately but tonight was just so sweet.
After I fed DS after his nap H took him to play for a while, I started making dinner but I could still see and hear them playing. I realized I was listening to my husband giggle as much as my baby. At one point H looks up at me and says "he just gets funner and funner each day" Way to make me melt! It was just one of those rare and simple moments.
Anyone else have an awesome daddy or mommy moment recently?

Last night my husband was in on our bedroom with our little girl and was reading her a story about a two Disney characters going to a beauty parlor. I was standing in the hallway listening, it was the cutest thing ever to hear him read this story and involve our little girl by asking her cute questions about the different scenes on the pages. a moment that will never be forgotten

The other night DS woke up while we were still awake and DH went in and sang him to sleep, it was precious. They're definitely starting to connect more and more

This is how DH feels. He's been great since day 1 with diapers and holding her when I need breaks, but he takes her more and more just to play and talk to her. When I hurt my back around Mother's day he had to do the bath every night because I couldn't bend that way. Once I felt better I asked if he wanted to go back to alternating who does bath time, and he said he wants to keep it as "his" thing with her. So every night he gives her a bath, puts on her lotion, and gets her in her pjs. He tickles her and talks to her about his day and our lives before her - it's so sweet. I love hearing him chatting away from the other room and her laughing and babbling back.

DH takes her hands and says "let's dance" . Then move her arms while singing she thinks it is the best thing. She has a huge smile, talks and giggles

I simply love seeing H and DD together. When he gets home from work as soon as she hears his voice she looks for him. She has the hugest smile when she can see him. When she is cranky he will sing "what does the fox say?" And she laughs every time. I keep telling him that will wear off and he'll need a new song but it hasn't yet.

My DH is another one that is really getting into the swing of things now. He had never been around babies before so he was quite nervous with a newborn. But now she is stronger and can do more things so they really have fun together. They were giving kisses on the couch the other day and it was cuteness overload! Tonight I am going to a career fair thing so DH will have her after work and he is so excited about it, I love it!

DH loves to go swimming with DD. This past week, I finally received my swimsuit in the mail that actually fits me so I was able to go swimming with the two of them. Normally I just sit on the beach and wade in to my knees, which is fine by me because I'm not much for going in the water. So I get out there with DD and DH was so bored after 2 minutes that he took her and they went swimming all over. It was so cute to watch the two of them have a blast and I got to go sun tan myself in my new suit.  

DH also recently got laid off, so he's now a stay at home dad and I am returning to work full time. I've been picking up extra shifts in the mean time, but DH absolutely loves hanging out at home with her all day. He now knows some things about her that I didn't even know, even knows what song to sing when she's crabby, etc. It's really cute how happy he was to step into the stay at home dad role.

It's simple, but yesterday when my husband got home from work, he picked Patrick up and said, "I was thinking about you all day and about how much I love you."

My husbands "thing" is to give the kids rides whenever he mows the lawn or uses the 4 wheeler. It's like mothes to a flame when they hear it start up.

AW: last week I had a training for work and dh was home with all 3 kids mon-thurs. from about 6:30 in the morning until I got home around 4:30-5 each evening. Every night the kids were dirty and tired from playing outside all day, but he did an awesome job with them!

I have to hand it to him... He is an amazing dad to our LO. Mason lights up when he walks into the room. He loves playing and laughing with dad. He is always taking him on little hikes, changing, feeding, rocking him to sleep... He may do more than me somedays. We have our issues with each other but I couldn't ask for a better dad for Mason.

DH has a song he made up for DD when I used to work. He sings it to DS now too. He sang it to me once, but its really cute. I've heard him singing through the baby monitor.

DH makes up cute songs for her, and discovered the one song that will always stop her crying. They watch it together on youtube. I just love watching his excitement over everything she does.

Is the song the theme song from summer place? LO and his daddy discovered that song and it's mesmerizing for him. It works every time!

@chelsea3383‌ , nope! Bottoms Up by Brantley Gilbert. And she stops the minute she hears the voices talking before the music even starts... She likes her some BG haha

DH LOVES and insists on taking DD out in the Bjorn to show her off.

I also love hearing DD sing "mamamama" on the tub while he bathes her while he tells her she's saying it wrong, it should be "dadadadada".
