Still bleeding!

I am 11 weeks PP and still experiencing vaginal bleeding. It is not as heavy as it was for the first 4 weeks, but it is certainly still happening! I started off breast feeding, but now I'm just in the process of trying to re-establish my milk supply, as my milk had diminished greatly after I returned to work, but I thought any breastfeeding at all would keep me from bleeding for so long or from having a period.  I'm not sure if this is normal or not. My OBGYN isn't much help in the matter, in fact he seems to be quite nonchalant about it, as if it's very normal. So now I'm just left wondering, should I be bleeding for a solid 11 weeks after having a baby via c-section, is this a period? What is going on?!

If your OB is fine with it, then I wouldn't worry. You can always get a second opinion.

EBF normally delays a period, but it's not unheard of to get your period back right away. My first thought would be to get a second opinion and see if possibly anything was left behind during the surgery.

I bled for 12 weeks PP! I was EBF (now supplementing after some feedings). I still have not had a period. My OB also was not concerned. I would have lighter days where it would almost stop and then it would start up again. Probably TMI but it smelled different from a normal period which is why I think it was all PP bleeding. So, while I don't have advice, I can tell you that you're not the only one!

I bleed for 8weeks and 3days, and ppl on here were saying that was unheard of. But its your body and everyone is different. Im fine and I have light periods that maybe last 3 days. But I didnt get my first one until a month after I stopped bleeding.
