Up and hands and knees?

Who's babies are up on their hands and knees in preparation for crawling?

My son just started with this in the last couple of days. When I went in to pick him up from his nap, there he was in his crib, up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. We are not at all prepared for this.

My DD has been doing this for 6 or 7 weeks now! I thought she would be quick to crawl when she started the rocking, but she hasn't figured it out yet.

My LO can get her knees up but she doesn't have the upper arm strength yet. She's so ready to get moving tho. She's never been happy she can't move on her own.

My baby has been doing the army crawl for about a week now--of course her strength gives out after she moves about a foot or so, but she can do it long enough to grab a toy out of her reach. My husband said he saw her do a backwards crawl the other day.

He's been trying to get up on all fours for a couple weeks now but his knees always slide back down. Maybe because we have wood floors instead of carpet.
