My almost 9 mo goes 3 days to in-laws and two days to another daycare person. This week he started screaming at the other daycare person. Screaming not just wimpering and it didn't die down. Tuesday it lasted one hour before mil picked him up and today it was two hours and then mil picked him up. He was all happy, smiles, like nothing is wrong at ILs.
I think it is separation anxiety and I am probably giving in by getting him but I can't imagine screaming for that long. I know the DCP did all she could I am at a loss. I worry he isn't there enough but I like that he is with family a lot of the time.
Has anyone had this experience, how long would you let LO cry. Any luck on methods to help this.
TIA!
Re: separation anxiety
This happened to me when I took LO to the gym this week. They called me down after 12 minutes, and then again after another 17 minutes.
I told them next time to call me after 5 minutes.
I have no advice as what to do, but I think screaming(not just fussing) for an hour is too long. How sad. I'm sorry. I hope you can figure something out.
