We were at the park a couple weeks ago. We met a couple who had a DD a few months older than mine. She asked what my DD's name was and said her DD was also Annabel. Cool!
She asked how I spelled DD's named, and I basically told her without the -le at the end (I named DD after the poem Annabel Lee). She laughed and said that was how they spelled it, too.
Awesome! But then she had to ruin it with this gem:
"But we spell it with a capital B."
So, her DD's name is AnnaBel. So much for a connection on a good name.
Re: Met another Annabel, but...
My husband is an engineer, and engineers write everything capital, so ANNABEL...
Proud mother of two breech babies:)
Oh GAWD.. Now we have not only random dumb spellings (not that annabel is dumb, thinking about all random Y's and made up names..).. But parents that just randomly capitalize a letter in their child's name?!
Some things should be illegal.
That's not weird to me. DH is in the Navy, and they also capitalize everything. One random capital letter in a name is weird to me.
That's odd.
I could almost understand (though would still side eye) Anna Belle, but AnnaBel is pretty weird/senseless.
The name Annabelle is lovely, though.
To write in capital is not weird. tO onLy HaVe RandoM LettEr(S) CaPs iS DUMB
Agreed.
Reminds me of this room I saw on Project Nursery, for baby IzaBella. Awesome room, pretty name, atrocious spelling.

That's what I was going to say!! Or Ann'aBel lol
Izabella (without the Capital B in there) is actually the Hungarian/Polish form of Isabella. Pronounced ee-zah-bell-ah.
