As I sit and read my newest issue of Marie Claire; I realized it just doesn't apply to me. Not that it really did before, but certainly not now.

I used to give my mom fashion directives.  When I hit a certain age, I told her I had to resign because I was no longer young and hip.

ETA: I still love all the magazines!  I just don't obsess over them.

I just let my glamor magazine subscription expire.  Sad!!

My current subscriptions are to Better Homes and Gardens and Cooking Light.  Where is my wrinkle cream?

I do enjoy InStyle magazine a lot...I'm just too cheap to buy a subscription.

I've realized the same about Glamour and Cosmo.  They just sit.  I realized a few weeks ago I hadn't opened the plastic on the last 3 months of Glamour.

I still get InStyle, USWeekly, OK! (shut up it was like $3 for the subscription), Glamour, Marie Claire, Allure (I think this came free with something else), People StyleWatch and Lucky.

But, my favorite is Southern Living.  HAHAHA.

I think I'm still interested in fashion and am up to date.  I just love SL the most.

Your post reminded me that I took my mom shopping this weekend to help her get some new clothes.  She's fairly stylish on her own, but isn't great at picking out new stuff or putting it together.  The lady at Ann Taylor told me I should be a stylist, lol.

I was like, if only I lived somewhere where stylists were used.  ha!
