When did you find out?

Hi Ladies, 

Im just wondering when you found out you were having multiples?  I am only 6 1/2 weeks, but am already feeling much bigger than I have with my other 2 children.  I keep having crazy dreams about twins,and mom and my youngest keep telling me its twins!!

We did IVF and transferred two embryos. When we got back our first beta, it was really high so we suspected twins. I ended up hospitalized around 4 weeks with OHSS and the ultrasound showed two sacs. We've just watched them grow since! Have you had your first prenatal appointment yet? Ask for an ultrasound to ease your mind. Good luck!

5w6d.  And if it makes you feel any better, everybody I know with three kids (from three pregnancies) started showing much earlier by their 3rd pregnancy than they did with the first two.  I think your uterus just remembers what it's supposed to do or something.

13 weeks on a u/s - that's the only way to know.

FWIW, my BF is pregnant with her third and is MUCH bigger than she was with her other two.  You show much more quickly with subsequent pregnancies.  Her daughter also kept insisting she was having "twins" - but I'm pretty sure that's because she's obsessed with mine.

I know some people say they had dreams they were having twins, but I think that's really just coincidence when it happens.  I had a dream two months ago that I was pregnant....I'm not.  My friend had a dream she was having twins and delivered a nice, healthy single baby.  I think more often than not it's just "one of those things" when the people who dreamed they were having twins, have them.

I had been telling my husband for 3 weeks before that u/s that I was pregnant with twins.

12w NT scan. NO idea before that, I didn't gain any weight until 18w

7w at our first u/s. Since they were so small at that time I didn't feel anything other than horrible m/s. Maybe your experiencing bloat?

6w 3d - my doc did a dating ultrasound to check viability and placement and there they were. I had no symptoms whatsoever that would have even remotely led me to believe there was more than one baby.

We found out at our first u/s at 7w0d. I only had an u/s that early on because I had a prior loss. I did have more m/s with my twin pregnancy than I did with my singleton m/c, but I don't think it means anything. One of my friends found out she was having twins at 10 weeks after being hospitalized for an unrelated reason. Pregnancy test came back positive there and they did an u/s on her to see how far along she was. She had no clue she was even pregnant at the time. As PP have said, only an u/s will tell you.

11 wks. first appt. via ultrasound. I also was bigger sooner but was also in my second pregnancy. With each pregnancy, you will show earlier. I had no idea before my routine U/S but looking back there were a few signs.

I wasn't feeling "too large", and had virtually no pregnancy symptoms other than the positive test.

21 weeks at my second ultrasound ;0 (first ultrasound machine was an old one at our satellite clinic).

 

I should have known because my 4 yo nephew (who told me I was pregnant before I could even take a test) kept telling me that it was a boy and a girl...one was just hiding. Well, he was wrong about the girl part!

5w6d at my first u/s. I had a prior loss, thus the early u/s. I had absolutely NO inclination that I was carrying more than one. GL!

People love to tell pregnant women they're carrying multiples if they look even remotely pregnant early on. I had a dream early on that my baby didn't have a face ... dreams don't indicate anything.

 I bled so I had an early scan at 6w4d. I didn't have any symptoms, didn't gain any weight until 2nd Tri and I didn't wear any maternity clothing until closer to 18 weeks.

With my first set of twins we didn't find out til my 12w u/s. I am now pregnant with my second set and I found out at my 6w u/s but only because I kept telling the tech how late I found out with the first set but she kept telling me no no this time its one baby. Then she moved the thing around and said OMG did you see that LOL crazy.
