I took MomlovesEloise's advice and let her feed herself. Success!
I broke out a banana into little pieces on her high chair. I got some melts too. I scattered a couple of those out. I think the melts are too small, she seems to "lose them" once they're in her hand, but the banana worked wonderful!
She actually sat in the highchair and ate 1/2 banana, drank from a sippy cup by herself, and then let me spoon feed her some veggie puree. I tried handing the spoon to her, she's not ready. I had mixed veggies all over the floor and walls from her slinging the spoon and THEN sticking it in her mouth.
She's not 100% thrilled about bananas so I'm going to roast some pumpkin or squash tonight to see how she does with that. She's likes those a lot!
Re: F/U: DD won't take solids from me
Yay! I'm so happy you had success. It's funny how they'll decide when they're ready for certain things.
