Is it ok to eat honey while pregnant??

I have no idea why it wouldn't be. Nothing grows in honey. They only caution I know of with honey is not to give it to kids under 1 year b/c it has botulism spores in it that can produce toxins in a baby's immature digestive system.

Anyway, I hope it's okay, b/c I've been eating it!

Yes it's fine to eat honey when you're pregnant.  However, it is not okay for a baby under 1 year old to eat honey.  Your immune system protects the baby while it's inside you.  HTH!

this.  you don't have to worry like you would for a young baby.

Me too! I eat raw honey. EVERY. DAY.

My pediatrician suggested I avoid giving raw honey to my DD in general (she is 20 months). He said it's just not worth the risk of illness. I've never asked my OB so I don't know about during pregnancy.
