Costa Rica! We did the Tabacon hot springs, the rain forest, and the beach. We did a zip line tour across the rainforest.
Or Wisconsin Dells is nice, and they now have a zip line tour. ;-) Both my parents and the ILs honeymooned in the Dells. We decided to change that little tradition.

The peen doesn't want it ANYTHING like my last honeymoon (cruise Bahamas)
Well, there's lots you can do out of the country that is not a cruise to the Bahamas! We went to the DR and stayed at an all inclusive for our HM. It was so nice to get away and not worry about a thing ... and it was super cheap. I still see deals like that now too. We paid $1400 total for air/hotel/food for 2 (not each).
This- if you're looking for reasonable you can't beat Florida. Sanibel is beautiful. Lots of nice resorts. I've flown into RSW many times on super cheap charter flights.
Spring really is a nice time in the city. Lots of great parks and museums all a short walk or taxi ride away. I prefer Old City for somewhere to stay because of all of the great restaurants and proximity to the water front. The Sheraton is really nice. Aside from the restaurants in that area, you are really close to things like the Liberty Bell. It is a very walkable city. Lots of great shopping. Fun areas to just walk around like South Street and Fabric Row. Little Italy and Reading Terminal are also great for food. Huhm, if this is something that you would actually consider, let me know, I can get a ton more info from you.
Oh, and of course, I'm only a few miles away in the burbs

No offense, but I wouldn't consider a cruise to the Bahamas to be exactly out of the country.
But, depending on what time of year you're getting married, you could go to San Francisco and wine country, Charleston SC, NYC, Miami Beach or New Orleans.

LOL, well... it is as far out of the country as I probably will ever be able to afford!
I thought about New Orleans, and Charleston, SC as well!

I would recommend Sanibel island in FL. RSW (fort myers airport) is pretty reasonable to fly into.
