    I have a comment/vent...

I am so tired of my monophasic temps!  I have been off of BC since April and only had one period in July which was induced by Provera.  I stopped temping a couple of weeks ago because I was tired of seeing the same temps with no sign of ovulation.  I know it can take up to a year for my body to regulate after going off the pill but come on!  I have an appointment with a RE next week, which I know is kind of early but I don't want to wait a whole year to see if I'm ever going to ovulate (and I don't want to continue seeing my OB if I would need additional treatment).

     Vent over- thanks!

I agree with pp, don't diagnose yourself yet!  My last cycle was 102 days and I was starting to worry I had PCOS.  I saw my doctor at CD 85 and she said she doubted I had PCOS, but would run bloodwork for me if I wanted.  I told her to do it, for my peace of mind.  The results came back normal, and not only that, she said it looked like I was about to ovulate, which I did on CD 87!  Had I gone in earlier, like a lot of people suggest (60 days without a period) who knows if my body would have ovulated yet.  I think my body was just taking its sweet time to get back to it's rhythm.  I was very happy to ovulate on CD 26 this cycle!

So, my point is, you don't have to worry yet, and if blood work now will give you peace of mind, go for it!

Ok here's a new-to-charting-possibly-dumb-question....  I just started charting this month and using OPKs.  Got my first +OPK on Sat night.  *IF* my temps stayed high for today and tomorrow, Monday would have been marked as my O day.  BUT..now today, I had a temp drop and EWCM.  So, why a +OPK on Sat?  What the heck is going on??

It's not uncommon to gear up to ovulate, get a positive OPK (LH surge) but not actually ovulate.  I would suggest continuing to use OPKs even after you get a positive until you get CHs on FF in the future.  The hard thing about charting is that by the time you have a temp shift, you are too late, but if you just rely on OPKs, you might fool yourself into thinking you Oed when you actually didn't.  To get the most benefit, you need to use them together and in the end, I always trust my temps over OPKs.  Keep humping it out until you get CHs.  Good luck!

Thank you and ashcurious for the responses :)  I kept using OPKs up until yesterday (mainly because I forgot) and they were all negative after Sat night.  I started back up again today because after my temp drop, I was like whaaaa?  Anyways, thanks for the answers and I'll just keep at it til I get crosshairs. :)
