Have you been testing your blood sugars? My testing equipment was ruined in a flood we had just after DS was born, but I wish I could have been testing all along. What do you mean by "treating" you -- were you diet controlled, or did you do insulin?
I have pcos so i'm slightly insulin resistant, not previously diabetic. i have to start testing my blood sugar 4 times a day and sending the results to my dr. plus follow a diabetic diet etc. i've been on metformin for the pcos and will continue on it throughout the pregnancy. i also have monthly ultrasounds to make sure the baby is not gaining weight too quickly.
Me too! I have my 3 hour blood glucose test Thursday. I was borderline GD with DD and started testing myself about 2 weeks ago and found my numbers to be really high so my OB has me scheduled already. I'm running around 110 first thing in the morning whereas last pregnancy around 30+ weeks I was able to keep my first morning finger stick to about 85 :-(
GL! I also had GD so I took my 1 hr last Th. I missed the doc's call today so still waiting on the results. I'm not overly optimistic though so I'm preparing myself. The one benefit would be more frequent u/s.
