This story makes my heart hurt. Lost autistic boy. FOUND!

This isn't too far from where we live. Send out some good vibes for this poor kid, literally lost in the woods. : (

Re: This story makes my heart hurt. Lost autistic boy. FOUND!

  • About a week ago a little non verbal autistic girl was lost here and unfortunately they found her in a lake.  They think she wandered off from her back yard and fell in.  She could not call for help. :(

I live very close to where this happened. It was extremely sad. We attended the candle light vigil and it was so heartbreaking.

  • I'm with ya on this one.  I watched the Dad on the news this a.m. & he said that they recently had lost their home & they think that he might be trying to go back to that home, though he doesn't know how to get there. So sad.

These stories make me want to throw up... as functional as my little girl is (she's on the spectrum), she is still totally capable of wandering away yet not capable of communicating her need for help. I've experience firsthand how quickly she can unintentionally put herself in harm's way, and it's pretty terrifying.

My heart aches for these families.
