feeling bad

I am still horribly sick and now my ears are starting to hurt with the tonsilitis. My tonsils are actually purple and white. I called off work today to sleep and feed myself full of medicine. I feel HORRIBLE taking LO to daycare. I always said if I wasnt at work LO wouldnt be at daycare...Sad please tell me that taking her to daycare is ok.

    You need your rest though. Its not like you re dropping her off to watch Maury all day. I hope you feel better soon!!

    omgggosh I took LO to my Aunt so that I could clean but I am watching good morning America right now haha

    OP, if you kept LO at home, you would never get any rest and it would defeat the purpose of taking a sick day. You did the right thing, maybe you can pick him up a little earlier than normal if you still feel bad later but the time will go by so quickly.

    You need to get better for her.  Having her around you is not good for you or her.  Get your rest!

    You did the right thing.  The less you're around her while your that sick, the less chance she has of getting sick.  Hope you get some good rest!

    Ditto everyone else. It's really easy to make decisions about what we'll do in the future. It's totally different once you actually have a baby and a real word situation comes up. I've been home alone with DD a bunch of times when I'm sick and it's really really hard for both of us.

    It will be ok! There is nothing wrong with taking LO to day care because you are sick. You need your rest to get better. I really hope you get better soon! Being sick is terrible.

    I would not feel bad AT ALL.  You have to do what you have to do.  You are no good to her while you are sick.  Hope you feel better soon!

    thanks ladies! i just woke up from my nyquil, tyelynol 3 w/ codeine, and amoxicillin induced coma. my ear still hurts and my throat is still swelled up but my sleep deprived state is gone. Im so excited to go get LO :)

    I was diagnosed with strep today. I have had recurring fevers, throbbing headache, and painful sore throat since Friday. Lo went to daycare today. I got this from her, but she was cleared by the pedi, she has been better since the day I got sick. I don't want to reinfect her, and I can barely stand without my headache sledge hammering me. I am not in a position to care for her being this sick. I have to stay home tomorrow to allow the antibiotics to kick in, and she will go to daycare again. I need to rest and get better and so do you!
