How is everyone today?
I've got a Pumpkin Spice Latte (NOT decaf, *gasp*) and it tastes like fall. I don't drink a lot of them (I prefer my coffee w/o sugary stuff) but it felt appropriate today.
We've got a fairly busy weekend. H's BFF is driving down tonight with all the material for our kitchen (we're building the cabinets ourselves. Yes, we're crazy) and then the boys are going for a quick bike ride.
Also, my brother is coming down to hang out tonight and tomorrow he and the H are taking out/opening up a wall at my parent's place.
I think I'll sleep.
What are everyone else's plans?
Re: Happy Friday!
WOOOOHOOOO!!! I cannot explain how happy I am that today is Friday. For such a short week, it has felt SO LONG!
My day has started out slow, I showed up at work 20 mins late because I had to do some running around this morning *whoops!*
We have a wedding tomorrow, and it's my "fertile time" so yay for hotel room sex LOL
Sunday I plan on sleeping, grocery shopping and doing laundry cuz H and I are pretty much out of clean clothes haha
Today is going very slowly! It is only 9 and I feel like I have been at work for hours already!
I have absolutely no plans for the weekend! H is in the field so I have the house to myself.
Have a great weekend!!
You're so right! This week has been long, considering it's been a short week. HOORAY FRIDAY!!!
DH & I are going out to dinner tonight. Haven't decided where yet but we need a date night. Saturday is his interview (eek!) and family reunion and then Sunday we might start Christmas shopping. If the weathers crappy we'll just stay home as I really want to get some baking done and make some lasagna's for the freezer.
Today is going to be a longgggg day though. My coworker (who I share an office with) has gone home sick. My bosses (who are brothers) have a family emergency and they are leaving together shortly, so that leaves me alone all afternoon. I'll probably be here all day lol

SINNERRRRRRRRRRR! lol (I'm kidding). Brantford only has ONE Starbucks and its way across town in the opposite direction of my home and work. It sucks! I haven't had a PSL in forever.

I wish I was better at doing stuff like this.. I never know what to make that I can freeze and will reheat well
Today is going to be LONG as there's only a couple of us and I have no *urgent* work to do, so I will also be here all day.. and chatting on MSN haha
I had a craving for pie the other day, so I may bake one of those up this weekend. Now to decide what kind.....
One of the benefits of working in Oakville is the plethora of Starbucks. There are many. There is one just up the road from my office and we stop every Friday.
Also? As long as it tastes good to me, I'm not totally giving up coffee. 200-300mg of caffeine a day is safe, and that's really all I drink anyway. My 1 travel mug of coffee we brew at home, or 1 grande latte. I just love my coffee too much. I've already given up wine, I can't give it all up!!
I do it all the time, every couple weekends I make a bunch of stuff. Lasagna, Cannelloni, Sheppard's Pie, Chicken & Broccoli Casserole and Pirogi Casserole are my usual's. I make them in 9x13 Pyrex dishes, cover them with press & seal and tin foil and freeze in the deep freezer. Usually if I put them in the oven right from the freezer I put them in at 300?F for an hour and then turn the oven up to 325?F for the next hour and they're usually bubbly and hot. If I defrost them first then I put them in at 325?F for an hour or 350?F for 45 minutes. If I use a smaller size Pyrex then I just drop 10-15 minutes off the cooking time.
I also make double dinners now. So if I make chicken, broccoli and potatoes I will make 2 extra servings and freeze them so we have something other then casserole type dinners. They reheat in the microwave in my Tupperware dishes.
My plan is to make a months worth of dinners like these ahead, before our baby is born that way we have meals for a month. It just makes life so much easier in the long run.

I don't drink coffee so caffeine won't really be an issue for me!
Karrot - that's so ambitious of you, we need to share recipes! lol I plan on using my slow cooker A LOT when there's a baby around.. god bless whoever invented it. lol

I agree! I have books full of slow cooker recipes. I live off that thing! I got this Hamilton Beach Set & Forget one for Christmas 2 years ago and I LOVE IT. I want 2 lol We definitely should share recipes! I love to cook!

I have 1 slow cooker recipe book that I've never used (that I can remember), I have a bad habit of buying cookbooks and then just getting recipes from the internet LOL
I have 1 small inexpensive Bravetti slow cooker that I've always used, but recently I bought a big Hamilton Beach one - maybe the Set & Forget? I'm not sure, it has a meat thermometer built in which I think is cool.. (I'm a HUGE kitchen gadget nerd, my kitchen is exploding with stuff to the point where I have lesser used appliances stored in the basement.. ie. bread maker, milkshake maker, juicer) lol
I LOVE to cook! Wish I had more time for it
*breathes* Better now. I just felt like everyone attacked that girl for no reason and it irked me. I get that people are pissy because of all the drama over there lately but that was ridiculous. No wonder we have so many lurkers! They see that sh!t and delete any post they might have considered posting. You're right though, the b!tch level is high on TTGP lately and I have no idea why. This is my happy place lol

This is my happy place too.. there has been SO much drama there it hurts my head. I just stay out of it and wait til it's over lol
They did attack her, I understand everyone is frustrated but daaaamn!
P.S have you tested this cycle yet? If no, how long til you do?
No not yet. I thought I O'd on CD 13 but I got 2 days of positive OPK's on CD 19 & 20 so I think I O'd yesterday. So I'm only 1 DPO as far as I can tell. I'll test on our anniversary (the 19th) which will be 11 DPO as long as AF doesn't show up because she's due that day.
This cycle has me so confused. I O'd so much later than usual and it gives me a short(er) LP. I'm so confuzzled!!!

Ugh that's annoying. I *should* be O'ing soon.. hopefully! I'm surprisingly staying relaxed this cycle.. last cycle (our first cycle trying) stressed me out lol but this one I'm okay.. and I'm going to TRY and stay relaxed during the 2WW as well.. maybe lots of baking? cookies/cakes/cupcakes make everything better
Fingers crossed for you that this is lucky #7!
Crashin the party!! Happy Friday, ladies!
Yesterday was pretty awesome cause I've got my date set on my scheduled C-Section.. we are delivering either December 5th or 6th.. which is pretty exciting...
This weekend I have a 3d Ultrasound (first time for me) which I bought as a twongo deal.. and other than that maybe we will do some kind of summery outing, enjoy some family time before the summer is officially over..
Thank you!! I hope this is your cycle too! It'd be great to get our BFP's together! I'm really hoping 7 is our lucky number also. I liked it better when I thought I was 5 DPO already lol I was so close to testing. Now I'm starting all over again. This has been the longest cycle everrrrrrrrrr. I really don't know when I O'd. I *think* it was yesterday but I had 2 days of + OPK's so it could have been one of those days, maybe. So I'm somewhere between 1 and 3 DPO. I might just have to wait to see if AF shows or not to test. IDK. I need wine and I'm sad panda because I can't have any lol
Are you tracking/charting at all?

It would be awesome to get +'s together!
I'm a bit of a FF newb but it looks like you O'd yesterday, but your timing is good! I hope this is it for you, I know it'll be SO hard on you if it isn't.. esp after all the sex you've been having!!
I'm temping/charting yeah, but this is only my first cycle doing it so I have no idea when I'm supposed to O. Right now I plan on having lots o' sex until I get an O confirmation from FF.
That's definitely your best bet.

Oh god that sounds delish! I am STARVING right now. DH is taking me out to dinner but we haven't decided where yet. I want to make the drive to Waterloo and go to the Mongolian Grill but he said it'll be full of Uni students on a Friday night and he doesn't want to wait forever
So we'll probably go to some local place, which is nice too but I love me some Mongolian Stir Fry! lol I still have another hour to go. UGH!

Hooray for Friday!! 2 weeks of school down, 6 weeks to go! And don't worry raynes, you're totally right about the caffeine thing. It really isn't a big deal, i mean unless you drink a pot of coffee a day, but really whats a little caffeine here and there. I indulge in a grande iced caramel mac every so often. They are good however decaf, but its just not the same.
Hope all you ladies have a great weekend. I'm sure mine will be busy, I just don't know with what yet!? Maybe homework :S, Prepping for baby, some house work...Crazy to think I only have 12 weeks left to get ready as best as possible...No one is ever really prepared tho, so I don't feel so bad.
technically your 501st post you move to broonze
