I hear it's normal to lose some of your hair after you have a baby, but seriously, this is ridiculous. I clean my brush out daily. It just started about a week ago. Anyone else going/gone through this? I wonder how long it will last. Yuck.
This started for me right around when my DS hit 3 months. I had always been one to shed a lot of hair in the shower, and I loved it when I was pregnant and wasn't losing any! When it started falling out again, it was mildly alarming. But, now he's nearing 4 months, and I noticed this morning that it's starting to slow down a little.

Mine started around 3 months and is showing no sign of slowing. MIL had 5 kids and said it slows around 6mths. As Dh pointed out though, it's gotta stop sometimes b/c you never see any bald ladies with babies. lol.
I am also going bald. It just started in the last week or two... I can't run my hand threw my hair without having a handful of hair falling out. I am shedding everywhere.

Your DH makes me feel better.
Mine started at 3 months and still going strong. I feel like my hair is everywhere!!!
Mine started 2 weeks ago....this week seemed to have slowed down a little...I have thin hair, so I'm scared I already can see my scalp in the front of my head close to the hairline looks very thin....I see my white scalp....very scary.
I'm actually getting a hair cut this weekend to get it up to my shoulder and get rid of split ends and make it at least look healthy...
I know there is no way to stop it but I'm also taking biotin.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one. I noticed mine last week. I always loose hair in the shower but lately it's been so much I was starting to get worried. Then I saw an article online that said it could be caused by hormones from giving birth or from some birth control pills. It should clear in time. It didn't say how much time though. I'm hoping it stops soon because I'm worried I'm gonna have a bald spot soon.
I've been going through this for about 3 weeks now and am starting to get a bald spot on my right temple. ugh... I know it'll grow back but in the meantime, being a bit chubbier and balding are so not doing wonders for my self esteem. Looking forward to my hormones regulating in the next couple of months.

its natural for you to lose 150 hairs (roughly) a day. My family is in the hair business and I have lost TONS of hair. I was actually worried my hair was thinning. Check the hair to make sure the roots are coming out with it (the white ends) you will grow it back. Trust me my house looks like a shaved the dog (only with long red hair) and I dont have a dog.

This! I think it is because I sleep on the right side? I feel bad because all of our drains in the bathroom are getting clogged with my hair and the bathroom counter after I get ready is covered in my hair! It can stop anytime now, I don't have much to spare!

Between our labrador and myself, my kid always seems to have hair on him, or grasped in his little fists. Ugh! So glad I knew ahead of time this would happen or I'd be concerned!

This. And when you get pregnant you stop losing that hair, so when you start losing it again after baby is born it seems more than normal because of all the hair that didn't fall off those 9 months is now falling out. It will slow down eventually, but you always lose hair on a daily basis.
I love how they say "some hair" and not that it will look like you won't have any hair left by week's end.
Every time I touch my hair in the shower a good amount comes out, and I have to clean out the drain after each shower otherwise the water won't go down. On top of that, my hair brush is constantly full, and my hair bands have hair wrapped around them every time I take them out. It is really a wonder that I have any left at this point.
I was convinced it was my thyroid condition acting up, but after a blood test the doctor assured me it was in fact post pregnancy related and that I wouldn't go bald...even if it looked that way...fun...and very reassuring lol.

I am happy to see that I am not the only one. I have a lot of hair and I am use to a lot of shedding, but what I am experiencing... I wish someone had given me a heads up. I am starting to seriously thin on the sides (right side worse than the left). I think I have lost enough hair in the past week to start my own toupee line.
