Undissolved internal stitching re: c-section

I'm not sure if this is exactly what's going on with me but I think it may be.  I have a hard, sharp object right above my incision line.  It feels like something sharp poking into my skin internally and causes a lot of discomfort and pain.  The more weight I lose the more I feel the object/pain.  I made an appointment with my OBGYN to see what it is but a google search came up with undissolved internal stitches as the possible culprit.  Has anyone experienced this before and if so how long does it take for the situation to resolve/dissolve?

Depending on the actual type of suture used- it can be 2-3 months to dissolve. Thats a good thing.

I had one stitch that was hanging out, and my OB removed it when I went for my 6 wk post-partum visit.

I had that, too, and I wondered what it was, too! It didn't hurt, though. But it's gone now.
