Gonal F side effects question..

Hi, I am on IUI #1 and am injecting Gonal F. I am finding myself very emotional and crying quite a bit. Mind you, I have some very ill family members that is upsetting and of course this process is tiring, but I feel SO emotional... Has this been a side effect for you?

    I haven't taken Gonal F, but everything about IF has made me emotional.  I cry over the silliest things.  It's all very emotional and overwhelming.  Hang in there.  Hugs!

    YES.  I tell MH it's like the volume is turned way up on my emotions when I'm stimming (and for a bit after).  It's not like I've gone crazy, just that things affect me more than they would normally.

    Thanks for the reassurance. I knew something was up when I cried over an episode of Clean House, when the wife was being unfair to her husband, my husband thought I was nuts!

    LOL!  I do the "happy cry" too -- when I see something that makes me smile.  It's really weird.  Embarrassed

    I didn't use Gonal F, but when I was stimming, I was an emotional wreck; crying A LOT over the littlest of things. Hang in there!!!
    2/11 Diagnosis: DOR-AMH .62, LPD and MFI-4% Morph
    IVF #1-July 2011 7/9/11-Started Stims
    7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
    8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
    Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
    11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012

    yes, gonal f made me more emtional.  then again.. i am pretty emotional with out it!!  but more so on it.

    Jennifer TTC #1 Dx PCOS 2009 Apr, Aug, and Sept tried clomid cycles.... BFN. Oct...DH SA results were normal. Me...HSG - left tube was clear, right tube was slightly blocked. Dec - Clomid #4 200mg Feb 2010 - IUI #1 200mg Clomid = BFN. June 2010 - IUI #2 200mg Clomid = BFN. March 2011 - IUI #3 w/ injectables = BFN (1st & last with RE, moving on to IVF).     It definitely is for me.   I seem to cry at everything.  I totally broke down (full on sobs) at a restaurant because the table next to us had a little baby that everyone was cooing at.

    I blame it on the gonal-f.

    TTC since Jan. 2010 DX Unexplained infertility
    3 IUI's w/Clomid & Ovidrel=all BFNs
    3 IVF (2 Fresh, 1 frozen) =BFN
    Jan 2012 New RE & Fresh Cycle =BFP!

    Meet with RE March 2015
    2 Frozen & 1 Fresh IVF= BFNs
    September 2015 Frozen ET=BFP!

    Thanks for sharing your emotions...now I don't feel so weird.  This is such an emotional process I find myself crying for small things too.  I'm not on Gonal but infertility can be sooo draining! 
    TTC since 7/2010
    Dx: Anovulation, Endo, only one working tube and ovary
    IUIs 1-5 = BFNs
    IVF #1 - ER 7/9 3dt 7/12
    Transferred two beautiful 8 cell embryos
    Beta #1 7/26 = 484 Beta #2 7/28 = 1045
    . U/S 8/10 showed one baby with a strong heartbeat!
