Our LO hated it too until we did tummy to tummy time (LO on my tummy). We also try sitting him up on our laps, holding him under his armpits and supporting his bean with our fingers. That works too. Turns out, our LO hated not being able to see the action. Now he'll actually do like 10 minutes of true tummy time on his mat.

I had a C-section so I can't really do tummy to tummy with my LO. My husband can do it but he'll be going back to work soon.

Lurking, but I think that every baby hates tummy time at first. It's new and a probably a little uncomfortable at first for them. The best thing you can do is to be consistent with it, giving your LO tummy time each day for as long as he/she can stand it. Eventually, they gain more control and strength and therefore, they begin to like it more.
Your baby will get used to it. All of my babies hated it at first.
As far as the csection you will be feeling better soon. (I had 3 of them) just lay the baby on your chest. As you feel better it will get easier and your baby will get better at it as baby gets older. Don't stress over it.
Someone here suggested trying their changing table because it's elevated. It works for my LO. He still hates TT, but will tolerate 5 min on his table. Give it a try.
My DS didn't like tummy time very much either, so when I noticed him getting frustrated I would just lay on the floor with him, talk to him, smile at him, sing to him etc. Just to keep him occupied and he's really happy after that!
