Poll: Do you ask kids to pick up before they leave?

The neighborhood kids are over.  The 2 girls, in particular, made a total mess.  Like, dumped bins of toys on the floor.   I heard them do it and called down and told them to pick them up when they were done playing with them.   Now they've moved on to making pictures with stickers.   I'm going to start a movie and have them all come up and watch...   Should I ask them all to pick up before the movie or is this just something I have to accept doing.  

And for the record, I don't care of there are toys thrown about. The room doesn't have to be spotless - but I'd like everything off the floors - legos, army men, capless markers...

    It depends on my mood really.  Sometimes I just want them GONE and it's easier for me to do myself :)

    Absolutely. The only time I wouldn't is if they're over for a party..

    When we have kids over for a playdate I generally don't ask them to help, because what it would really be is me and the other mom cleaning up.  But in the situation you described I would definitely ask the kids to pick up.

    We generally do a big pick-up at the end of the day, so I don't sweat it.

    I have always asked my kids to help pick up before we leave our playdate.  I would never expect the hostess and her child to have to pick up after all the kids were all playing together and making the mess.  All our friends are the same too, all their children help pick up at the end of the playdate.  I just feel it's common courtesy to do so.
