Getting my IUD removed today... Strings are missing!

I had recently made an appointment to discuss some side effects that I believed that were caused by either my IUD or PCOS. I was patiently waiting on this appointment and yesterday checked for my strings like normal, except that i could barely feel the tip of one string.  That is a marked difference than normal.

This morning I can't feel them at all. Pregnancy test is negative. I had read that the strings disappearing could be the first sign of pregnancy.  Now we have to decide what to do for contraception as I am NOT ready to have another baby at this time. UGH!

IUDs make me so nervous. The idea of it kind of gives me the creeps for some reason. That doesn't have anything to do with your post, though!

Oh no!  This is my biggest fear, especially since I don't get a period anymore.  Hope everything is ok!
