I would recommend something obviously gender-specific. I know boys and girls named Sage, so I'd stay away from unisex/ambiguous mns unless you are specifically trying for a genderless name.
This reminds me of a kid that I went to school with. His name, honest to goodness, was Blu Green. Needless to say, he went by his middle name, Eric, and so he was Eric Green instead.
In addition to PP about something gender specific, I would also steer clear of nature-y names (like "Wren" or "Brooke") as it would sound gimmicky, or names that double as common nouns ("Lily," for example) as you run the risk of sounding like the first name is an adjective modifying the second.
