Weekend trips from Columbus?

I'm at 22 weeks and my husband's birthday is coming up next week. He really wants to travel, but everything he comes up with is either a really long drive (i.e. Chicago) or involves sitting in the hot sun all afternoon (i.e. Reds game). Anyone have any weekend getaways from Columbus - 3 hours or less drive time - that an uncomfortable pregnant woman could survive? :)

    Maybe Lake Erie or Put-in-Bay?  Lots to do up there.  A Reds game at night?

    The Newport Aquarium across the river from Cincinnati is awesome (and air conditioned!)! It's less than a 2-hour drive, plus there are lots of nice restaurants around there too.

    The Hocking Hills/ Athens area is great. We went to college there (OU) and love it. It's so pretty in the fall and you can rent a great cabin for a pretty inexpensive price. Athens is a cute, funky little town to spend a Saturday afternoon in.

    We like Barringer Ridge but I've also heard good things about booking with www.oldmanscavechalets.com and getaway-cabins.com.
