non-annoying bridal shower games

So a co-worker is getting married, who i adore, and we want to throw a fun shower for her.  Can you give me some ideas for some fun not stupid and annoying bridal shower games to play? I was at her family shower, and we already did the "make a dress out of TP" game.

The only game we had at mine was the dress out of TP cause all the other ones just annoyed me.

I think all of them are annoying. The best showers I've been to are one where people don't have to interrupt their conversations to play some silly game. If you need to do something, pass out silly surveys and pencils to be filled out at leisure. I've seen that go over well, and people could still move about the party as they please.

Ditto. I feel the same about baby shower games, which is why I never had any at my shower.

There is no such thing! Haha ... one that I didn't mind for mine was they had a egg timer going and everytime it dinged... whoever's gift I was opening got a prize! Easy and non cheesy.

We just had a shower for my SIL before she got married and I was in charge of the games.  The one that everyone seemed to like the most was totally unrelated to anything but it was just fun.

I had made a list of any possible thing that could be in a purse, assigned 1-3 points depending on the likelihood they had it, then told everyone to grab their purse and sit in a circle.  Announce one of the items then whoever pulls it out first wins the points for that item.  You don't really know who is going to win at the end because someone could have a lot of 1pt objects and others could have fewer but 3pts.

The ladies wanted to keep playing but I ran out of things.  We had fun

This! They did that game at mine, too. My favorite shower games are usually the ones that take place during the gift opening, since that's the most boring part of the shower. You could do gift Bingo. Just pass out blank Bingo sheets and have everyone fill in all the squares with possible gifts the bride could get (since most people will have seen her registry, this part should only take a few minutes). Then while she opens gifts, people just cross off (or put markers on, if you want to play more than once) the gifts as they are opened until a few people get bingo. It makes watching the bride open all the gifts much less boring.

For my shower with DS, my mom had a meals list available so people who wanted to bring me a meal could sign up. Thats the most "activity" I had and was fine with it.

You could do decorate a page of a baby book, and put it near the gifts table with pens, stickers, markers, etc. Every person can decorate a page for her baby book and sign it.

There are definitely ways to involve your guests in fun and unique ways that don't annoy them.

for my best friends bridal shower we video taped the groom while asking him questions about himself and the bride- like "what was your first car", "what do you want to be when you grow up?", "where is the bride's dream vacation spot?' "what toothpaste does the bride use?"

So we would ask the bride the question- then watch the grooms response on the video and if they matched awesome- if they DIDNT (which most didnt) she had to put a piece of gum in her mouth- she had a WAD of gum in her mouth by the end-

it was amusing and all about the bride and groom!

My step mom and my dad called my DH and asked him to tell them the story of how we first met. They then took that story and told everyone it at the shower and whenever they said my name they would pass gift bags to the right and any time they said his name they passed them to the left. They got to know us and whomever had the bags at the end of the story got to keep it. I know everyone really liked it at my party. Also, they asked him a bunch of questions about himself. They asked everyone to write down how many questions they thought I would get right. While opening presents they would ask questions so it didn't really take any extra time. Whomever guessed how many questions I would get sot a prize basket as well. Just some ideas :-)

I'm lurking from 3rd...( I was curious). My cousin just had hers about a month ago, my aunt did a word scramble with "wedding" words and everyone had 5 mins to unscramble as many words as they could. They also played a game where they had some of her small registery items (measuring spoons) in a black bag and people had to pass it around and guess what was in it, whoever got the most won (but they didn't have prizes-which I thought was lame). Also a friend had a game where they sent the bride out of the room and asked questions about her appearance ex: how many rings was becky wearing? it was fun! Oh, one more...have everyone bring in 1 pair of panties (any kind) but the size the bride wears, and the bride has to guess who brought which pair...its funny

My bridesmaids did this too! It was so fun and cute.  You could do a survey about the couple and have them do it.  You can leave cards to write a funny piece of advice for the bride that she can read later.  The registry bingo is good during the gifts.  I don't like games that are too obnoxious. SPEAKING of I HATE that baby shower game with the chocolate and diapers!!!

My mother in law hosted mine and she had a rather vulgar game of pinning the penis on the hunk, each one the penises were different like a hot dog a cactus even my great grandma did it, which made for some really funny pictures.

A friend did this recently it was pretty entertaining for everyone especially since her fiance had some really funny answers

I agree with most of the PPs. All shower games are annoying. I didn't have any at my bridal shower and I won't have any at my baby shower either.

I actually LOVE Bridal Shower Bingo... when you give people blank cards and they have to fill up the squares with gifts they think the bride is going to get and the person who gets bingo wins a prize.. this is the only game I actually like because my favourite thing to do is guess what's in the box before someone opens it (even if I have to do it silently in my mind.. I still feel an incredibly unwarrented sense of accomplishment when I guess right).

At my cousins bridal shower we did the make a dress out of tp game, we had to fill out these papers and put an answer that first came to mind and the person that got the most answers as the bride got a prize...i.e. Wedding________ . Someone might put bells, while the bride writes day.  (Hope that makes sense lol) We also played a game where the groom had been asked questions and given his answers and the bride had to guess what he said and see how many she got right, some of them were really funny.
