Did they outgrow it? E is scared to death of the thing and screams bloody murder when I vacuum unless I'm holding her, and it's not a lot of fun to vacuum the house while holding a roughly 16 lb baby.
Ha, it's funny for me because she doesn't cry but Itty bitty will run across to the opposite side of the room to avoid it and now she breaks out the pouty lip as well.

Dylan is very scared of the vacuum. I always have to vacuum living areas while he sleeps and the boys' bedrooms when someone can watch them both in the living room. I had to vacuum once while he was up and I was home alone because of ants, and it wasn't good... He hasn't outgrown it yet, unfortunately.
After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!
BFP with no treatment!
Reagan has always been terrified of it and still is. I used to just have to wait to vaccuum when my DH could take her somewhere or I could vacuum downstairs if she was asleep. Now if I just need to do a quick job, she will stand in the other room with her hands over her ears. Baby steps...

No help on the "when will they outgrow it" front, but Anna is TERRIFIED of the vacuum. The girl who rarely likes to be held will cling to you for dear life, shake all over, and cry - just at the sight of it being rolled into the living room. I used to have to hold her, but now I can set her on the sofa with her blanket and doll. she will still shake and sometimes cry, but she will cling to her blanket and watch me until I go give her hugs when I'm done.
Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation. Because we're fancy like that.
Yes. Loud noises in general, but especially the vacuum. Even when I hold her, or have her in another room, that isnt enough. The only way she will tolerate it is if I am wearing her on my back. Things falling over terrify her too.

This is funny. Nicholas is the total opposite. I think he wants to marry our vacuum. Seriously, every morning he comes downstairs and goes to the closet the vacuum is in and makes me take it out and wheel it near his high chair. He likes to see it while eating. Heaven forbid if I try to put it away. He's fine when I turn it on and so is Ava.
