FF mommies..which formula are you using for baby?

We used enfamil for dd...she had BAD colic.  I am reading more and more about Good Start and how many people had great results w/ it.  I asked my pedi and he said he has heard many good reviews as well. They only offer enfamil and similac at the hospital, so thinking I'm bringing my own Good Start.

What are you using?

thanks! Smile

  • Through a friend's research, I've learned that the Target brand is exactly the same as Enfamil.  So, we're using that.  Well, that's what I'm planning on doing, but we'll see what the little man has in mind.

  • As of right now, I'm planning on using Enfamil...but once I meet with the pediatrician and ask her what she suggests, that could change.
  • I would suggest not stocking up on any one kind b/c DC might have a reaction of some kind to the one you picked out.  I had 2 friends that went through 5-6 different formulas, one ending up using soy and the other ending up using a lactose-free.
  • I plan to use enfamil again as I did last time.  We'll see how it goes though.  I am open to changing if we need to.

I plan to use the target brand once I run out of enfamil coupons.

  • If you can, go with Generic Target or Parents Choice at Walmart.

FDA closely regulates what is put in and not put in infant formula. All the lactose free are pretty much the same, etc...

  • I am planning on using Costco brand formula.  The cost is significally less.  $19.99 for 52 oz (for Costco) to $35 for 40 oz (for Enfimil).  There is a comparrision right on the Costco packaging that shows that everything is the same as Enfimil and Similac.
  • Sam's Club has a brand called Member's Mark as well that is exactly the same as Enfamil.  It's a LOT cheaper too...similar in pricing to Cosco.
