Wondfo- FALSE POSITIVE?!

Alright ladies, I feel like a crazy person. 

We were TTC in june, didn't happen...I got my period from the 10th -14th of July. We decided to stop TTC, lots of things were going on and it just wasn't the right time. I thursday I was put on Zoloft. I have been throwing up non-stop for 3 days, people have been asking if im pregnant since they don't know the real reason why im sick. I decided to take a HPT...because, i have no idea why! We haven't had sex since before my last period!! But ive gotten THREE positive wondfo tests...could they bey false?! 

DH is heading to get a digital after our kiddo is in bed...Anyone have any answers for this?!

I don't know other than to say GL and test with some other tests to confirm.  You may also want to ask your OB if Zoloft is safe for pregnant/TTC women.  GL

thanks, if it comes back positive i will be calling my OB 1st thing in the morning. We weren't TTC anymore, if we were i would have NEVER taken Zoloft. I was drinking, not eating well, not taking prenatals...if i am pregnant i am already devastated what i may have done to the baby.

My understanding of HPT is that it is very rare to get a false positive, as in .1% chance.

I say you are pg. Don't worry about having taken the zoloft, drinking, ect. The baby does not share blood with you for the first 6 weeks (approx), so the baby wouldn't have been harmed by the zoloft and alcohol.

How did i have a full blown period?! we have seriously not had sex even once since before that period. Is it possible to bleed like a normal period and still be pregnant?

Uh because the 10-14 of July was over a month ago?!  And are you sure you "seriously" did not have sex since then? 

Swear to God we haven't. We have been going through a really hard time.

This may be a stupid question, but are you sure they are HPT and not OPK?

If they are HPT then congrats you are KTFU!

In the OPs defense, I have seen Bumpies test with Wondfo's and get +s before their first PP period... And their husbands got +s too.  So the Wondfo tests might not always be 100% accurate... I think their LH strips got mislabeled as HPTs. 

So, test with other brands of tests and go from there.  GL.

From what I've heard, yes. 

No.  If you are pregnant you are not having a period.  Now, that isn't to say you can't bleed for some reason or another, but if you are KU you are not having a period.

Again, in the OPs defense (I have no idea why I'm defending her), she could be having a long cycle after a period in July.  

Or maybe it was some heavy implantation bleeding, who the fvck knows.

He just left for the store. Ill let you all know the digital results.

In her defense up until two months ago, when we started to TTC we had sex barely once a month since DS was born. 

To the OP, I had two "periods" before I realized I was pregnant.

I agree with this.  Also, please make sure the expiration date has not lapsed, and that you are for sure using the HCG not the LH tests.  There was also an issue with the HCG tests with the blue tag (I think that's what it was) but you can look it up online. 

 Also, many people have bleeding and 4 days is not that long, especially if your dates were all mixed up.  Stranger things have happened in the wonderful world of TTC!

I sincerely wish you the best of luck.  Clearly you've been going through a rough time, but this may be your blessing in disguise.  If you are in fact pregnant, there are tests and U/S that can be done to check on the progress of your baby.  I wish you well.  Please update us when you take the digi.  Good luck!

It's actually not a period if your are KTFU, as its impossible to have a period while KTFU. You can bleed however, and some women have a blood clot between the placenta and the uterine wall which can cause this bleeding, but is not always a problem.

WOW! Thank you so much btw...before TTC we had sex only once the 1st year after our son was born, and only a few times the 2nd year. Its sad to admit but im not lying!!

It's exhausting. lol. Especially now. I always used to think this stage would be easier, we could do more stuff together...negative. We are constantly cleaning and dealing with DS that our time is gone. But it is getting better, although I think its due to wanting another LO.

Thank you! I did buy the tests just last month. So they should be fine. I can't tell you how anxious i am waiting for my husband to get home with the digital test.

I know. It just seemed like you were surprised that they hadn't had sex in a month. But, from experience, time flies by and it does happen like that sometimes.

Thanks ladies...we are overwhelmed but happy. And a little cautious, we want to be sure my levels are all right, hoping the doctor gets me in ASAP. We are in complete shock!

I didn't even get a positive on my Wondfo until 12dpo. I'd guess that after three positives, you are probably pregnant. If so, congratulations! Definitely check with your doctor about the Zoloft, you may be able to switch to a pregnancy safe medication.

My friend's Dr said there is no such thing as a false positive (if a clear +), only false negative. Hope that you relaxing about ttc helped you in a good way.

My 1st pregnancy I had what I thought was a normal period & about 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. Unfortunately for me it ended in m/c. Good luck to you and congrats.
