diarrhea issues

I switched my LO to Ailmentum Wed. after he was diag. with milk protein allergy. His poops have been less frequent and when he has them runny(I guess its baby diarrhea). Does this happen when you switch formulas? I just want to make sure he dosent become dehydrated.

Usually the consistency of poo changes with each formula change. Is it watery and gets soaked into the diaper or just loose? How many times a day is he going? If it's just 2ish times a day, it isn't really enough to make him dehydrated; especially if it is more loose than watery. You may want to call your pedi and even bring in a sample (I know - yuck) if you are concerned.

I would say watery and soaks the diaper. He did it once yesterday and twice this morning so I am going to give it another day. I know the diaper thing sounds gross but I know it is worth it to bring it in. Thanks.
