Trying to Get Pregnant

Temps drop in LP?

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this. My temps consistently drop after my thermal shift and then spike around 7/8 dpo and drop again. I end up getting a U-Shaped pattern. It just seems like everyone else's stay elevated or keep increasing before the pre-AF drop. Is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks!

Re: Temps drop in LP?

  • I'm not really sure. I posted a similar question earlier (Chart Stalk - WTF?) I had 6 days of high temps and a huge dip at 7 dpo.

    Hopefully you will find answers.

  • There is a secondary estrogen surge after O because of estrogen produced by the corpus luteum. It can cause your temps to go down a little bit after O. It's normal and nothing to worry about.

  • Looks fine to me. None go below the coverline and even if one did, I don't think it is anything to worry about.

  • Okay, I won't worry about it then. Thank you so much for your input! :)

    This :)

  • It's an estrogen surge. You might also notice and increase in CM on the days that the temp is lower.

I get them consistently, and in the beginning, swore it was an "implantation dip". Ha!
