What happened to you? How badly were they misrepresented?

Everything I've sold has been in person (from ads on kijiji). It's hard to misrepresent something the buyer can see before they pay.

I have done this but not on purpose.  I recently sold some diapers that I hadn't used in forever and listed them as clean with no stains.  I noticed when getting them ready for shipping that one had shadow stains.  I sent her a note and refunded some of the purchase price and she was fine with it.

I've been burned 3 times. The first time I think was a sincere accident. The TPU on a RAR was delaminating.

I learned my lesson and the next time I bought used, I specifically asked about the TPU/PUL. The seller assured me that it was in like new condition. I get it, and it's delaminating. It took opening a paypal case to get her to finally refund the money.

This last time, I bought 6 GM's that were supposedly GN (I ask you - is hot pink GN? You couldn't tell from the pics... they looked sort of red). I asked about the condition of the fabric and elastic. I even asked for measurements as the seller indicated that one of the diapers had relaxed elastic. Based upon what she said, I bought the diapers at what seemed like a good price. Meh, no. The fabric is nearly completely worn through at the elastic and the elastic was shot on all of the diapers. I'm not sure what she was measuring... I bought them from here and the seller didn't respond to me.

I thought I'd try to replace the elastic, which has worked okay on all but one or two. The fabric is so worn on those two that I'm considering ditching them.

Anyway, I know this was random. I just was curious as to what responses we would get.... I don't know if I'd buy used again from a person who jumps on here just to sell, you know?

That said, I think most bumpies are incredibly honest and have had two other transactions off the board that were completely fair.
