miconazole safety? please reply, your help needed asap!

so i got a UTI and my obgyn gave me some antibiotics... i woke up this morning with the most uncomfortable feeling down there and i am dying to make it go away. i went to the pharmacy but they were out of monistat and so i purchased miconazole 3 day cream... is it safe???, would you take it?  i am 29 weeks

my dr recs the 7 day treatment while pregnant.

My dr feels it is very safe to use and recommends the 3 or 7 day. I have had a few this pregnancy already!

They usually recommend the 7 day treatment, maybe you should call in about the 3 day treatment just to be sure since the medicine is a little more condensed. The brand name doesn't matter, and I'm not sure the meds in the 3day / 7day are much different, but it's good to get a little reassurance.

Get a 7 day treatment. 3 is too strong for pregnancy.

My dr told me either the 3 day or the 7 day cream. Not the 1 day. I used the 3 day cream.

I have used the 3 days cream twice during this pregnancy on advice from my Dr.  TOld the 7 day may not be as irritating

Monistat=miconazole.  7 days is usually more effective, but less convenient.
