The 32 Weeks email from my hospital that I received today said:
"If you are in the habit of shaving your pubic hair, or near it, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, recommends that you stop at this point until after your baby is born. Shaving and other hair removal techniques can occasionally traumatize the skin and lead to infections. If a cesarean section is required, or any other procedure that might require hair removal, the removal should be done at that time according to the hospital?s policies and procedures."
What do you ladies think? Before the email I was planning on waxing or shaving near my due date so it will be easier during the healing process after the delivery.
Re: Shaving
Wow - I had never heard of that before! I was also planning on getting waxed before my due date but maybe I should rethink my plan!
Thanks for sharing!

I have never heard of that! At my hospital prenatal class they actually said to shave for as long as you can as you won't be able to afterwards for a little while. My mom also told me that her doctor used to shave them before giving birth -- while they were in labor! I guess he thought hair was gross?
Either way, I'm going to just keep on shaving.
