Should I be?

On another board a mom posted about her tiny baby. She mentioned in the post how people ask her if her LO was a preemie. She said

' No, she was not a preemie (ugh cannot express the ickiness that overcame me when another mother asked me this at the pediatrician's office'

and it REALLY bothered me!! Should it or am I just very hormonal right now??

Yes, I would be pissed. "Ickiness" that for one is not even a word. WTF is wrong with people.

That is absolutely awful. I would be utterly pissed. There is absolutely nothing "icky" about a preemie. WTF is wrong with some people? I wouldn't be able to hold my tounge on that one.

I saw that post and backed right on back out of there.  Applying the "if you have nothing nice to say" rule.  I was on the verge of unleashing and telling her to count her blessings.  Going over now to see your response.

I read that post yesterday as well and thought to myself that people have no idea what it entails to have a preemie. Yes, they might be tiny but they are little fighters. I was very offended, don't think it's your hormones.

 I read the same thing and was also offended. I thought I was crazy and just decided to leave rather than be the over sensitive mom of preemies.

Wow...I rarely post on TB anymore, but I am feeling feisty today, and think I need to go comment on that post! Glad to know my 10 week early (now AHEAD for her actual age developmentally) 17 month old is "icky" to this chick...what an asshat!
