In two weeks I'm hosting the retreat for my student recruiters and I need an idea for an ice breaker game. There will be 46 students, in a conference hall that will be set up as a classroom. I'd really prefer not to do any "active" games because we just don't have the space.
In the past we've done the M&M game --you have to answer a question that is associated to the color of M&M you have and the island game where they get together in groups and each person picks one object to bring to a deserted island and then everyone uses all of the objects in their group to try to survive.
I don't care if it is one big ice breaker (like the M&M) or one that breaks them into smaller groups that come together at the end (island) but I just need to get them interacting with each other.
I could do something that includes a few small props but nothing too high maintenance.
I've thought about doing True Colors but I'm not sold on it yet.
Any ideas?

Re: NIFR: Ideas for ice breaker games?
i've done one with horoscopes that was actually fun.
we broke out according to our signs, each group had a one-pager about their sign and then talked about how much we were or weren't like them.

another one i've done is based on TV shows. so groups are broken down into 6 people according to characters from the same show
so for example, friends or seinfeld or modern family. so you put a character on an index card, usually with a pic of them and give them out. the participants assemble according to the TV show they belong to and and they can same how they are similar or not to the character.

Thanks ladies!
I had written down two truths and a lie but I worry a little bit about the stuff that my students (college kids) could come up with for that one
I like the horoscope game worms.
I'm deciding between the horoscope game, two truths and a lie or the string game.
Thanks!

I used to have to think of these all the time for corporate meetings at my old job but i have forgotten now!
