When to register

I'm 18.5 weeks. I was thinking of going to babies r us this week to register since we now know what the babies are and also before the busy school year begins. DH thinks it is too soon to register still but I disagree. Thoughts?

Re: When to register

  • Nope, not too early. My shower was at 25 or 26 weeks. And people like to buy in advance before holidays hit. Or if there are good sales.

Plus once you get bigger, it's not real fun to be walking up and down the aisles.

  • Nope not to early we started ours around 12 weeks but that was so DH could be evolved. I need to spend time getting mine finished though.

  • Researching and registering was a PITA for me, so I got it out of the way as soon as possible....I think early in the second trimester.  I just had my shower last week when I was 26 weeks and considering all the edits I kept making, it wasn't too soon at all.

  • We registered when we found out the sexes at 20 weeks.  I don't think it's too early for you to start now :).

  • register now when you have time to peruse the aisles. make modifications when you think of things or as needed, online if possible. you'll always have time to think of more or change your mind, but so long as the outline is there it will make your life easier.

  • Not too early!  I had done quite a bit of my "research" at that point, and wish I'd have registered then.  Starting at 22 weeks I was either hospitalized or on full time bedrest and I never got to have the fun of registering.  DH went and did it and had me on his cell phone, then brought me home a printout to make sure he did things right! (didn't have smart phones or laptop to get to a computer easily)
After 20 months TTC with PCOS, we were blessed with twins!
They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks. Lilypie Third Birthday tickers image
