How did you do it? I'm so nervous about how I'm going to find the time to pump, keep G occupied and keep the baby happy all at the same time. Any pointers?
I nursed/pumped for the first 3months for DS2 then went to totally pumping until he was 6 months old. If DS1 was awake, I usually had to put on mickey mouse or something like that so I could pump. The last 2 months I pumped through DS1 would actually come sit next to me while I pumped. He was so interested in that pump and he was really very good at letting me pump. It was just the first few months that were a little harder b/c he'd get jealous. Thats why mickey had to go on.
I've been wondering the same thing! i hope it's easier than i think, Lo drank every 3hrs so i had to pump every 2 hrs last time around. and i really want to breastfeed again.
I ramped up my supply early on after number 2 was born. I was able to then pump 1st thing in the am, before # 1 was awake, again about 11am while he was playing, later while he was nappping, and then again before I went to bed, while he was already sleeping. So I was able to get a good amount in only 4 pumping sessions a day. Of course, you will want hands free pumping bra.
I also have 2 pumps: one upstairs with supplies and bra, and one downstairs with the same. It made it a lot easier than dragging the pump everywhere.
