UTI question

Is it normal to have some tender lymph nodes if you have a UTI?

 

This is about me. I have a low grade temp, a *heavy belly*, a low grade temp (99.9) and sore lymph node in my um, groin. I have only ever had UTIs while PG and they were masked by my pregnancy.

I have had many UTI's, but I don't remember having those issues. Why do you think it's a UTI?

God, the more I read this the more I look pg. I still have my IUD that I have had for 5 years- it's due for replacement in October.

I don't mean to scare you, but have you ever had a kidney stone?   That is how my neice feels when she gets them (burning pee, crampy, nausea, and eventually, pain).

Oh I see! Well, it doesn't sound like a UTI to me, but I'm no doc either. Joy is right, kinda sounds like a kidney stone. My friend gets those and she gets pretty sick with them.

I don't have any kidney pain- just a dull ache in my lady parts.

 

Oh and one side of my throat has been sore for more than a week.

FWIW- it doesn't sound like pg either... Maybe just a summer cold? It's going around. Although, no idea why your lady bits would hurt.

So, web MD dx me as having strep- it says belly pain in not uncommon. 

 

Odd.

 

Oh and I thought it was  UTI b/c MH and I had a child free weekend last weekend in a hotel with a hot tub- wink wink nudge nudge.

They have them for pregnancy and UTI detection......get both.

hmmm...nooo..but what a genius invention...an at home test strep...q-tip your throat and smear the crud across a test strip that turns red if its positive or blue if negative..or whatever. 

Does your throat have puss pockets?  How bad does it hurt?

9ner- sore throat with a kidney infection?? S look in my throat and said on side is *angry and swollen* but not white.

As someone who's suffered from UTIs since age 9, this is not a UTI. I would go to the doctor soon, girl. Just to rule out anything weird/serious.

I've never had a UTI, but you should see a dr.  An enlarged lymph node could mean several things.  Plus, you have other symptoms that need to be checked out.

As far as the IUD, I got my second one in March and I was concerned the hormone would "run out" or something and I'd end up pg.  The dr assured me that's not the case.
