live scan in north carolina?

just curious if anyone in north carolina was able to get their fingerprinting done by live scan?  i'm thinking no since our sw told us that fingerprinting is not required here, but i'm hoping someone can tell me they were able to do it....please?

    We are in Wake Co. & we had live scan fingerprints done for our foster care license. Maybe it is different if you're adopting?!...but we HAD to be fingerprinted. We went to CCBI and were in and out quickly! :-)
