diaper wipes ?

I just realized that I have no wipes at all, and I'm going to costco tomorrow... would you buy a box of wipes? and which brand?

?

TIA!!?

Re: diaper wipes ?

  • We mostly used home made, but for commercial wipes, I liked the pampers that were unscented.

  • I don't mind the Costco brand wipes for pee diapers, but for the messy stuff, I like Huggies because they're thicker.  With Costco brand, I had to "double up" on the wipes when there was a big mess.

Wow, can't believe you're due so soon!!  :)

  • I love the Costco brand (Kirkland Signature) unscented wipes they carry there.  There's several packs in one box so you can leave one in baby's bedroom, your bedroom, the living room, each car, etc.  :)

  • I like the costco wipes but I agree, for "bigger" jobs I prefer Huggies.  Which is all I buy now. I found that I used double (or triple) the number of Pampers or costco wipes compared to huggies.  I guess I'm a woos and don't like to get gook on my hands! Or even the thought of it!  HA!

  • We use the Costco/Kirkland wipes.  They are great for the $$ and so far no skin reaction from L which I was worried about.   Sometime I use 2 wipes on a poopy diapy or a big messy one is 3 wipes, but that is because I want to make sure I get her clean and not all over me too.

  • We started with Pampers Sensitive wipes, then moved to Pampers Baby Dry (I think) and now use Costco.
  • The Costco wipes gave Caleb a rash, so we just used Viva paper towels and a spray bottle of water instead. For the diaper bag we use Huggies unscented. The Huggies are thicker than Pampers and I like them better. They don't give him a rash like the Costco ones, but I've noticed that if we use wipes exclusively instead of just occasionally, his bum gets a little red. I don't think Costco sells the unscented ones, so I probably wouldn't buy any there.

  • I'd go with an unscented and for sensitive skin variety. You really don't know how your babies skin is going to react. I used Huggies Shea Butter. When I switched to other brands (early on) they developed rashes. We are now using Pampers with no problem.
  • Because we had a circd boy we were told to use paper towels and warm water for the first couple weeks- so we did. Viva paper towels are super soft and thick. We then switched to Pampers Sensitive- unscented and then to Kirkland wipes when Ty was about 1. I LOVE the Costco wipes but will likely follow the same wipe routine with number two.
