This makes me sound like a terrible mother, but I promise I haven't been drugging my child. She has been teething and running a fever all week. My DD is normally a horrible sleeper and wakes around 1 to come into our room and get into our bed. The nights this week I have given her Motrin, she has slept all night in her bed. The 1 or two night I didnt, she was up like clock work and in our room. Do you think it is just a coincidence, or is there something in the Motrin that makes her sleep? And let me clarify, even the nights when she isn't teething or running a fever, she still wakes up and comes in our room.
Re: Is there anything in Motrin that would make LO drowsy?
This
It happens to LO when I give her motrin for teething/shots.
Ditto. She may have been waking at 1, feeling the pain and wanting to be comforted. Now she may still be waking at 1:00, but goes back to bed because the Motrin's still working.
