Hey ladies! Holy crap -- I feel like I should be at work!
Once a year I like to make a bunch of apple crisps, and freeze some (uncooked), write the instructions on the outside of the package & give them to people throughout the winter (neighbors, dc teacher, etc.) when they do something nice. Or I'll cook them up randomly when we're craving something or having people over. Tastes just as good as if I made it that day. Plus, DH *loves* apples.
Oh, I am no Betty. TRUST me. Remember how I said I did this once a year? Really...once a year. I'm trying to become more domestic though, slowly...I will e-mail it to you. SOO good warm with some vanilla ice cream...
Banana bread, yum! I haven't attempted that yet. Trade me recipes?
I know. Feels like I should be at work! Not! vomit. Blech. Don'twannagoback.
Wendy, you are like freaking betty crocker. I wish I had freezer space like that. Perhaps one day when we buy a house. (Guess that is why people get married and buy houses before they have kids, huh?)
Yea, I am just hanging out at my parents. We don't get to see them too much. We went to a pumpkin patch today, and then Cabela's, and my mom tagged along. (She drove, too, so it saved us gas money. Woot!)
F-ing laptop/shutterfly/mozilla/internet connection.
No, my parents were going to watch Lucas last night and we were going to go, but they didn't get back to their house until about 9 from my brother's house. And, I am a chickenshit.
HA! Bill bought me a chest freezer for Christmas last year (because I'm weird, and actually ask for things like that for Christmas). Its half full of things I made double batches and then froze half of, some cakes, etc. The other half is filled with Lean Cuisines!
I'll be glad to share my banana bread recipe. As a matter of fact, I've tried several over the years and this one is my favorite. I've been making this recipe for over 10 years now. I don't have it on the computer though - it's in the Better Homes and Gardens cook book (the one with the red and white checkerboard cover). If you don't have that cookbook, I'll type up the recipe for you. Probably tomorrow, because I'm 30 seconds away from bed right now!
Speaking of cooking and baking, I've been taking it a lot more seriously the last couple of years. About a year ago, DH suddenly says to me "You know, you've gotten a lot better lately (cooking)!" Umm, thanks?! So I guess I've just sucked for the last million years we've been together and you've just been lying to me the whole time?!
Re: r9
You read my mind! I was just about to ETBM you!
Yes, I am at my parents house. (I brought my laptop that I NEVER get to use anymore-- and it is acting weird.)
MH just went to go get me pumpkin pie blizzard.
Damn lady on all the baking. What are you going to do with all of it?
I am uploading pumpkin patch pictures right now.
::Squeeeee::
Dai!
And, for some reason, my shutterfly isn't letting me view the pictures. WTF. I miss my school MAC!

What're you doing at your parents? Just hanging?
Wendy, I think you need to email me that crisp recipe! I'm going to start calling you Betty. I baked some banana bread this morning.
Robyn, did you go to any Haunted Houses?

LOL...I officially have you two fooled. Loves it.
Sounds like a fun visit with the grandparents! I need to see pics...what the hell?!

Recipe emailed to both of you, just in case.
I *hate* haunted houses. People jump at me & my gut reaction is to hit something. I'd probably get in trouble for that...so I avoid it all together.

Ahh...gotta love the man compliments. LOL.
I don't have that cookbook, I don't think. If you could type it for me that'd be great but no rush. I won't be baking again for awhile.
Have a good night! I'm outta here too. Must rest.
